Inside Sales Manager with 5+ years of experience

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Management:

Recruit, train, mentor, lead, and motivate the
inside sales team on product knowledge, license compliance discussions, and
objection handling for software sales. Enable them to achieve individual and team
sales targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive
feedback.

• Sales Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies and
plans to drive revenue growth and expand the customer base. Adapt strategies based
on market analysis and industry trends. Forecast license renewals and upsells and
collaborate with OEM and internal sales team to quality leads.

• Sales Operations and Process Improvement:

Oversee day-to-day Inside sales
activities and ensure smooth operations. Suggest and implement improvements in the
sales administration process to increase efficiency. Provide customers with product
information, technical support, and demonstrations (as and when required). Resolve
customer issues on licensing and optimize processes for higher conversion rates.

• Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Monitor sales metrics and analyse data to
evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement. Prepare accurate
and timely sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management.

• Pipeline and Lead Management:

Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring effective lead
generation, qualification, and closure of opportunities, especially for software
licensing deals.

• Preparing Quotes and Invoices:

Generating and sending initial price quotes and
preparing sales contracts and working closely with finance to prepare invoices for
customers. Ensuring the accuracy of account information, which helps the finance
department invoice correctly.

• Customer Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain relationships with
existing and potential clients to maximize software license sales. Ensure the team also
builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective and existing clients,
addressing queries and negotiating deals effectively to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Collaboration:

Liaise with Marketing, Product Development, Field Sales, Finance and
other internal departments to align sales efforts with business goals and ensure
seamless customer experience.

• Sales Target:

Be a part of core Sales Team by not just bringing Sales Qualified Leads or
meetings individual revenue targets but also enabling and achieving Team targets.

• Payment Follow-up:

Sending payment reminders, following up on late payments, and
managing the timely collection of outstanding invoices.

• Renewals and Upgrades:

Handle renewals, upgrades, and ensure proactive
communication with customers about license compliance and contract terms.

• Product & Market Knowledge:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s
software products, solutions, industry trends, competitors, and new product offerings
to effectively position them against competitors.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
• Experience: Proven experience of 3-5 years+ as an Inside Sales Manager in B2B
software or SaaS environments with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales
targets. Experience with software licensing models is advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce, MS Office, and knowledge of
software licensing models and compliance.
